Done already - Is it supposed to be that fast?

Finally had time to put L4 on the new i7 MBP. I was expecting it to be a time consuming event. When I had L4 on my new Alienware before it went DOA the process took about 6 hours. I started this morning at 8 AM and it seems that by 11:30 I was ready to go? Am I missing something or did it really only take 3 hours instead of 6? Did a quick passage guide search and it appears that all of my resources are there (L4 Platinum).
One other question and this one is more Mac related then L4 related. What do I do with the two items that are left on my desktop from the download and install (the disc image icon and the L4 icon that looks kinda like a hard drive. I am assuming I can move the L4 disc image into the trash and move the L4 hard drive icon into another folder to get it off the desktop (I don't like desktop clutter) but I'm just guessing here? I'm still knew to the whole Mac process of doing things. I like the Mac a lot and found the learning curve not as steep as I thought it might be.

The icon that showed up when you double-clicked the disk image after downloading it should be dragged to the Trash (which will change to an eject icon). The other can be deleted after you have done this.

So are you telling me that downloading and indexing and everything took 3 hours?

I'm not convinced indexing is working properly. I did the reindex on one computer yesterday, had it finish in a few hours, but noticed that when I did a search it still had a section of "new" resources. So I told it to merge the index, which again finished faster than expected, but it still kept some resources separate. I couldn't spot anything quirky in the index log (from the few things I know to look for, anyway) and otherwise it seems to run, though it continues to be so sluggish I can't really do much testing.

Just noticed the Logos icon at the top menu bar by the clock...still indexing (35 minutes left) so apparently my resources were there and I could search for a passage and read the commentaries I have related to it while it was still indexing. So I guess it wasn't done in 3 hours and looks more like it will be more like 8 hours. Did not notice any heavy cpu usage or fan noise....is that the benefit of the i7?

One more follow up to my first experience with L4 on my new MBP. I completed indexing around 5PM. So the whole process went from about 8AM until 5PM. I Moved the downloaded files that were on the desktop into the trash and restarted the laptop. Opened L4 it downloaded some more info (nothing to time consuming and then indexed again for about 20 minutes and it was good to go. So far I like what I see!!! Now that it's all done, I didn't notice any heavy cpu usage or fan noise and L4 is quite snappy on my new MBP (i7, 4gb of RAM, Intel HD graphics card + NVIDIA GeForce card with 512mb of dedicated RAM). Glad I waited for the refresh and glad my Alienware was DOA. Thank You Keep Smilin' for making me aware that a refresh of the MBP's was on the way!
