surprising search results on

On searching in John I got 80 occurences in 36 verses. Doing the same search in Logos 3 returned 40 occurences in 36 verses - turns out that Logos 4 adds "ton" G3588 to the results.
report this as a bug, or is this a special new feature?

The info window displays the article when hovering over the noun as well (John 21:23 - saying - o logos ) - this does not happen when the article is translated (as in John 21:24 with the disciple - o mathetes)

You omitted to state the resource you are searching!
However, the NASB95 has an acknowledged problem http://wiki.logos.com/Bug$3a_Results_are_doubled_for_Strong%27s_search_in_NASB95

Thanks Dave, I use NASB all the time.
I assume whoever works on that will note the search results are not just for the original strongs number but include the number for the article. The info window does the same thing, hover on the word and the article info displays first, then the actual word being studied.

you can remove the erroneous definite article results by
<GreekStrongs = Strong’s Greek #3056> NOTEQUALS <LouwNida = Louw Nida 92.24>
Hope that helps..

The doubling of the results for <G3056> is not due to the article ie. the verses returned are accurate. Try the search on ESV which returns 40/36 vs 80/36.

This is a feature of all reverse interlinears where the Greek article is not translated but is associated with the English word eg. in the Interlinear panel for Jn 4:41 you will see the two are in the same column as the translated word. Where the article is translated it has its own column. Compare Jn 4:39 & 4:41.
