search not working in 19.1

I don't get anything in either search bar: the one in the search tool or the bar at the top of a bible that would normally search for references. The bar seems to work. If I get a popup that recognizing what I'm typing, the search works for contents in the popup, but there's no response to "Return" when I'm typing in the bar.

Try typing "rebuild index" into the command bar and waiting for the text to appear. Then click on it. It will start the indexer and run for several hours. When it's done, search should be working again.
