While I appreciate all of the work that is being done for Logos for the Mac, I think that from time to time a little perspective is needed. I for one, am a little frustrated with the work being done. As a college senior, looking towards grad school, the church that I was going to be working at offered to buy me a new computer, any kind I wanted, to aid in my job, but mostly as a way of encouraging my schooling. I started to research the difference, not between computers, because I knew that I wanted a Mac, but between which bible software would be best for a Grad student trying to get an MA in Old Testament. After talking to many people, I was led to believe that Logos was better than Accordance. Through my research, I also learned that I could have the best of both worlds. I could buy a mac, and run logos on parallels for just a little while until they came out with their Mac version. That was back in the spring of 06. The computer that I got for that job just bit the dust, and I was forced to buy another one. Of course, I have bought much more mac software since then, so i stuck with my Mac, but today when I installed the completely sub par version of logos that operates on the Mac, and then the alpha version of yet another version, I realized how much we have all been duped. Though it appears to be that with each passing week things are getting better and better, it has been nearly FIVE YEARS since we were all told that logos was coming to the Mac. I don't mean to complain, but sometimes seeing how this company expects us to be excited that we can put a few bibles in parallel FIVE YEARS after it was announced that we would have a comparable version of Logos for mac. Not only that, but for me the most frustrating part is that after this long, we were still charged for the cross grade. So, mac programmers, thank you for your work, keep it up!! Logos management, in the future, the practice of over-promise and under-deliver is not nearly as enticing as it's counterpart.
