BUG RC1: Sympathetic highlighting strange behaviour.

Something odd going on here.

I have ESV open at Ex 2:10 and LHI open at the same passage, the latter with sympathetic highlighting selected (but switched off in ESV). I highlight "he looked this way and that" in ESV (Ex 2:12), and sure enough, the corresponding LHI text is highlighted.

But then I scroll down LHI a couple of mousewheel clicks and the LHI highlighting disappears, even though ESV text is still selected.

Now if I deselect the text in ESV, the sympathetic highlight reappears in LHI.

This is 100% reproducible.

Confirmed (irrespective of Sympathetic Highlighting in ESV!).

The sympathetic highlighting goes away when the LHI becomes the active window; this is by design. The purpose is to highlight the sympathetic text in the other resource, so once the LHI becomes the active window, it doesn't qualify as 'the other resource' anymore. This is why it disappears. Once you click on the ESV's tab again, since the text is still selected, the sympathetic highlighting comes back in the LHI. Then, when I click into the ESV (not just on the tab), the text is no longer selected and the sympathetic highlighting disappears from the LHI.

I now understand the "other resource" aspect but when I re-click the ESV in a place that causes the selection to disappear the sympathetic highlighting still appears in the other resource eg. if I re-click on a word outside the selection.

I'll check it out some more. That's not happening for me.

Update: I still can't repro what you're seeing Dave. Are you using the same two books, the ESV and the LHI? Does the sympathetic highlighting go away after a few seconds at least, or do you have to close the resource to remove it? Would it be possible to get a screenshot, or even a screencast, of the behavior?
