Problem with verse headings in NLT when pasting into documents

When copying text from the New Living Translation the spacing on verse headings are inconsistant. Notice below that there is no space in front of verses 7 and 9, yet there is space in front of verses 8 and 10. It doesn't do this in my actual NLT Bible; only when copying. Also, it doesn't do this when using the "fully formatted" style.

Can I fix this by editting the "simple paragraph" style, or is the problem with something else?

Thanks for your help!

I tried to fix it by editing the "Simple Paragraphs" style to insert a space before the verse numbers (that would result in an extra space before the ones that already have a space before, but it would be less visually jarring than what happens now). Unfortunately, that didn't work. Extra whitespace is just ignored. I noticed that the verse numbers with space before them are the ones that began new paragraphs in the actual NLT text. The others were in the middle of a paragraph. This looks like something Logos will need to fix. I can't figure out any workaround.

The Simple Para style is doing what it is asked, whilst Fully formatted seems to introduce a space. You will have to experiment with both styles to get close to what you want. Type "Copy bible" into the Help search box to see all the formatting options.

EDIT: from Rosie's reply you will understand why I said "close" rather than "exactly"!

Not really. It is producing spaces to separate verses when a verse that was the start of a new paragraph is picked up. But it is not producing spaces to separate verses that were already separated by a space (rather than a paragraph break) in the original Bible text. I think this should be revisted by Logos. Spaces in both cases, please!

You're right. I was "eying" the gap rather than looking at a straight copy of the text!
