It works for me, and that's the way I always open it. But what I have noticed in recent weeks,  since about Alpha 17, is that you have to give the app a minute or two to settle down after you open it (especially if you open to a layout where the Passage Guide is running), before opening something else. I've noticed it with changing layouts, cited by, copy bible verses. So perhaps that's the problem you are having, Joe. my guess is that as functionality increases, so efficiency is lagging a bit during this late-Alpha phase

Just a suggestion. Maybe you should re-open Logos and then wait until things settle down before trying to use Tools from the menu bar.

    Every blessing

Wonder about Logos4.log file and Console Messages, seem to remember an excellent tutorial with instructions about posting logs [;)] that has helped many.

From menu selection, Console Messages has more verbose output - correlated by time with above menu selection.  Zip attachment has Console Messages selection and renamed copy of nlog.config file with verbose debugging enabled for all Logos 4 components:

In Console Messages, noticed LayoutChange before activating panel Program Settings.

As I said in the last line of my first post, this command does open the settings panel.  It is only the menu option to open it that does not work.

    PS to devs

My logs show nothing when I click on "Program Settings"... no errors and no indication that anything is even being clicked.  All my other menu items work and the logs reflect no errors in using other menu options.

Apologies - missed reading last line of initial post [:$]

Wonder what happens if click Tools, then use arrow keys to navigate down menu - if can highlight "Program Settings", wonder if pressing return (enter) works ?
