Using the web app on iPad

When I try to use the Logos web app on iPad (because it works better for the most part) it tends to be glitchy, and wont copy paste verses using Safari (I am using it as desktop site).

What have you guys found to be more useful?

I tried Chrome and it doesn’t really work either for copy paste with references.

I also dont understand the lack of copy and paste with references on logos on any platform. Other bible apps like Olive Tree I can just Cmd+C on the laptop app and it copies with references. I dont have to right click, click this, click that and it works.

Sorry to whine again. When it seems like such a basic function that works so well even on free apps, this Porsche of bible apps should be easier and better, not worse.

Hi Robert, the resource context menu's copy action on iPad is definitely something that should work. I'll get support added for it.

In terms of Cmd+C on a mac, what problems are you experiencing? That is working fine for me.

Cmd+C doesn't copy with references. You have to right click, choose option, etc. For instance.

Cmd+C give the following in Chrome from web app on Mac (Note, the apps mentioned in my OP were all on iPad not the Mac).

35 Jesus wept.

Now with right click...select Reference then Copy

John 11:35 (NKJV): 35 Jesus wept.

In other Bible apps, I can hit cmd+c on my Mac and it just copies with references. Now most of those don't have that, and I don't presume that a web app should function as good as a local desktop app due to the things that can be done. Just saying

Before making a change to the function of CmdC (especially on the Mac) please pay regard to the integrated nature of the underlying OS.

If Roberts requirements are met then we would have to have a modifying key to copy and paste without references.

I am used to copy just what I highlight and I would prefer not to have to have to edit it because I have forgotten to hit a modifying key when the rest of the OS environment does not require it.

Sorry Robert but I feel I should raise the issue that this may not be a universally popular request.

Agreed Mike, when using Cmd+C and copying from Vines, etc, I dont want all the references. But I have never really not needed the reference (chapter/verse) when copying the scripture which is really my main point.

But not everything here is universal. And yes if you try to please everyone, you end up pleasing no one.

The thought too, goes the other way. Either way the majority is either wanting or not wanting the biblical reference when copying or isn't. I guess that might be a better way of phrasing? When using olive tree and copy bible, the references are there (as the example I have earlier) but If i copy from a resource, it doesn't give unless I require it or use right click, etc. But again, that is on the Desktop App, not the web app. We are kinda getting the two mixed up.

Have you tried the "Copy Bible Verses" tool? Not only do you have ultimate flexibility (yet consistency) with the formatting, you can even do a copy AND paste with a single click. Try THAT in OT!😜
