turn on split screen

My Samsung was working great a couple of days ago, then went to pot yesterday. I suspected an update to Logos Mobile App was trying to install, so I turned on mobile data and left it alone for awhile. I believe it's updated now as it shows Logos Bible 6.3.1. There's no additional numbers after that. The permissions and notifications were off, so I turned them on.

My major problem is I can't get the split screen. I had it set up with my preferred bible on top and my study bible on the bottom. Both bibles are available, but only one or the other shows. How do I turn on split screen like I had 2 days ago?

Hit the tab button (to the right of the blue Bible), then tap the split screen indicator at the top right of the tab.
