Have an old CD-ROM from 1996 of The Expositor's Bible Commentary that I am having trouble installing on to Logos 4. I have tried to use the setup launcher on the CD but this did nothing. I have not been able to use this CD for several years now on my computer. Need help

Any CD from 1996 of the EBC would not be in Logos format.  In fact, it's probably not compatible with any Windows OS later than Windows XP.

You'll have to buy a Logos version of the EBC to get the EBC in Logos.

If it is Logos software, you may have to install Version 3 and find the resources and license off the CD, then sync your licenses and V4 will pick it up automatically IIRC.

If it is Logos software and V3 doesn't recognize it, call Logos with the product information and they may be able to look it up or with the license information unlock it for you.

I believe in 1996 we were still on Logos 2 (could be wrong, but . . .). Logos 2 was a 16bit app. That means it will work in a 32 bit environment, but not a 64 bit.

If you have all the unlock codes but can't install it to your system, give Logos tech support a call and see if they can unlock your license for you.

The Expositor's Bible Commentary has only been available in Logos for
less than 2 months.  In 1996, Zondervan released their first electronic
version of The Expositor's Bible Commentary using their proprietary NIV
Bible Library software (pre-pre-Pradis).  I hold the disk in my hand.
It is in no way compatible with Logos.

I was able to get the upgrade price during the preorder time period for the recent Zondervan releases in Logos, but that time has passed.  Perhaps the original poster should contact Logos sales (or Zondervan) to see if any upgrade discount is still available.

I'm sure you're right. I guess it never occurred to me that someone would be trying to install a Pradis resource into the Logos program.
