I’d suggest adding a feature to allow users to name their highlighter colors names. Olive Tree has this and I love it. It allows me to remember my highlighting code such as yellow is general, pink is a promise, green is money, blue is our identity, and some other color is parenting. This is helpful not just in categorizing why I like a verse, it allows me to search categorica for my favorite verses. I love reviewing all my favorite identity verses. Sometimes I need to remember parenting verses. Finally, users will need to highlight a verse multiple times, such as money and parenting. Olive Tree does a terrible job at this. I’d recommend 45 degree angled, alternating colors with wide stripes.Â
Last, last thing, we have to update how we highligh and select text on the iPad. Olive Tree is better, but still misses the mark. Â Even Kindle does a sub-par job. I like being able to select the words manually or tapping on the verse for a menu to highlight, copy, share, etc. and with an option to add verses to the the copy, highlight, share, etc.Â
