Picture for forum post.

I have Jing and love it. I can make a simple movie and picture without any problems. However, I am running into some problems when I want to get a little more advanced. (It seems to me that is.)
It seems like there are some people able to make a screen post with the right click menu on screen or something. I am not sure how to describe this. I guess my problem is this.....
I mark something that I want added to the screen capture. Sometimes as I press the capture button from the Jing Sun my markings go away. Most recently, I wanted to capture this window as described here: I have L4 open with the NIV open. I have highlighed Rom 8:38-39. I do a right click to get the selection or the lemma or....window for copying or report typo or look up something. Anyway, that works. Now I go to top middle and hover over the jing sun and get the 3 rays...I click on the first (capture) and the right click menu disappears.
It seems like others are able to get that menu. I have also wondered how some can get a picture but have soimethings circled or arrows drawn etc... These things seem to be computer generated I could never free hand on a computer any of the ellipses, circles, arrows, etc. and have them as good as they are.
How can I make some more detailed capture screens?

William,
I'm not a Jing user but if you have Win7 it has a built in screen capture utility with annotating available.
Also, the Jing website says that the free version will do what you want...

William, to catch a right click menu you need to assign a hotkey in the Jing preferences. When you use the left click on the Jing sun you loose the right click menu.
The annotations should be options on the left side after you make your capture with Jing, just add whatever you want and save it.
If what I say isn't clear, I'll put up a detail screen picture [:)]

Robert....what is this utility? How might I go about using it?

Kevin,
I would like it if you could put up a detailed screen picture. I am not catching what you are doing.
I have heard of hotkeys but I have never used them or know much about them.

1) Click the More ray from the Jing sun.
2) Choose the Center Preference button and click on the Hotkey area (see the circle below) You may have to try a couple of different key combos to find a valid one. I chose Ctrl + 0 (that's a zero).
3) Press you hotkey combination and select the part of screen you want to capture.
(I'm pretty pleased with myself, I used OneNote to take a capture of the Jing capture screen [H])
4) Click the left - Polaroid-like button (not the film strip button that you use video capture.
5) Use the tools to add your annotations
6) Upload the picture to the forum from where you saved it. Use the paper clip (I won't post a picture of that)
