Whole Bible in Excel - verse by verse

Hi,
I am thinking of having the whole Bible in Excel file, and one verse in each row, with columns of books, chapters, verse # etc., in order for me to be able to organize all my notes while i study the Bible, and also to be able to sort by keywords, 'tags' etc. that I use to mark and categorize the verses.
I understand i can add my notes in Logos, but not sure if I can add tags to the verses and sort them later by keyword in my notes, or by the categories i assign to each verse (or verses).
Just an idea that come up to my mind recently... maybe not practically... any idea or comment
But not sure if this will violate any copyright, so maybe i have to use the KJV version.
Thanks!
Ben

You must either have a lot of time in your hands or there must be a super easy way to do this ”little project” of yours. Bible in Excel, I get really tired just thinking of doing something like that.

FYI this is one of the steps in creating a Bible as a Personal Book in Logos: https://community.logos.com/forums/p/36862/276530.aspx?ssi=0#276530
It sounds harder than it actually is.

The Bible is available in various database formats as well. Probably in every format we can imagine.

Can I get the entire Bible in a series of sticky notes?

I use a platform as my personal database for work, but I also use it for studying God's word. I have the whole bible in the link below, all 31,102 verses. Each record (verse) has 9 different versions, and the new testament verses have an extra version. I got the download from a website for free, I can find it again if you are still interested. My database is not very organized since only I use it, but if anyone would like to make use of it as well contact me, and maybe we can put something together that may be of use for others as well. Praise the Lord brothers and sisters.

Eduardo only ever posted that one post here (you can see his post count is 1) so he's not likely checking back for follow-ups two and a half years later. He left his email address, though (which, BTW, one should never do in a public forum if one wants to protect their email address from spam bots). You could try emailing him.

After just over 3 years of working on this, I now have 13 versions of the Bible in excel spreadsheets.

I just finished typing 13 version of the Bible in their own excel spreadsheets and, after coming across this forum, you just gave me an idea...I am going to put them in a series of sticky notes. Any suggestions? One verse per sticky note?

Hello everyone. I'm sorry about that link. Since that post I have had about 5 people email me directly and I have sent them the excel file, it has 4 or 5 different version including "young's literal translation" which I really like and NKJV. I'll work on fixing the link, I'm sorry about that.

I have since found out it is much efficient and more useful in the long term to do this right inside Logos. I just asked some questions about using highlight to tag Bible verses as i read through the Bible and later filter based on my tags. Just want to provide an update as forum users are still active on this original thread.
Thanks
Benny

Hi, I'm so sorry for not replying before. I have the Bible in excel format that I could email anyone, and it has 10 different translations. It has KJV, AKJV, ASV, Darby, one of my favorites YLT, and 5 other translations that I'm less familiar with.
I agree that the Bible in excel is not typically the best way to study God's word, but depending on what you're trying to do and how tech savy you are, CSV files (which is essentially a plan excel file),
I tried attaching the file but was not able to. It is 11.6 MB, not too large but maybe that was the problem.
I have worked on adding some translations to my database, mainly NASB, NIV, NLT, and MSG, but I stopped working on that about a year ago. I have only added translations for a few New Testament books, mainly the ones I was studying at the time.
If anyone would like to help me add some of these Bible translations please email me or text me, and I will be able to send you an excel / csv file of whatever we add. I essentially copy text from an online source and dump it into my database where an automation breaks it down into verses. It's not as slow as it probably sounds but it is a bit time-consuming. It probably takes me 2 minutes to add 5 translations for a single chapter, but with help it would be faster, and I'd be motivated to start working on it again, then we could make whatever we do accessible for free to anyone who would benefit from it.
Here is a sample report from my Database.

If anyone wants me to send them that file just email me or text me. My email is already spammed like crazy and so is my phone number so I'm not worried about that, but it's easier for me to miss an email than a text, so if you're comfortable with texting me I'll respond faster. And in case you are wondering I do not leave my information on just any forum, maybe because I rarely use forums.
I'll leave you all with a verse that I consider to be one of the most important, blessings to you all brothers and sisters:
Matthew 6:33 (NIV)
But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
