Split screens in Logos 7

Is there a way to use 2 screens for Logos 7? I use to have an older version and I would just "drag and drop" anything I wanted in the other screen, so I could have multiple windows open all at the same time. I just tried it with 7 and it did not work... is there something I am missing?

You need to "float" one window and put it over to the second screen, then you can drag tabs etc you want there - I don't think this has changed from prior versions in L7

If you are using a desktop version of Logos 7, you can drag the edge of the main window to cover both monitors. Just make sure that the main Logos window covers less than the main monitor, so you can grab the edge with your mouse.

Mick's suggestion works on my iMac and in fact I use it most of the time. I have the 'Send Hyperlinks Here' Panel on the second monitor so that looking up odd bits doesn't disturb my main layout.

I can't get Jack's suggestion to work on my iMac. I wouldn't help me anyway as I tend to keep the main Logos window set to full screen and hence other adjustments to size are precluded.

Have we solved the problem for you?

I can't get Jack's suggestion to work on my iMac.

A couple of OS upgrade ago, Apple introduced enhanced dual monitor control, or terminology to that effect, which killed the ability to stretch a window across two displays [:'(]. I really liked that ability for Text Comparison.

Interesting Mike, could you maybe talk me through how you send hyperlinks to a specific screen on a Mac, as I would find that really helpful.

I hope this helps Duncan...

1. Open a Resource Panel eg NIV and duplicate it.

2. Drag the Tab for one of the resources so that they sit side by side, on one select 'Send Hyperlinks Here'.

3. Float the Panel and drag it onto your second monitor (or wherever you want it to sit).

Now any Bible Hyperlink will be looked up in the NIV in that panel rather than moving the originating one.

NB I managed not to include it on the shots above but when 'Send Hyperlinks Here is set the book image has a target added to it.
