They correspond to the dots that show up in the rev-int view when there is an untranslated word.
I think I only have this problem with the ESV.
I get the same thing you get in the ESV. The markings are a little different, but I get them in the NASB as well. They do not appear in the NKJV, NRSV, or NLT.

You're right. I had checked the old NASB (1977) thinking it was the NASB95 and didn't see anything :-)

Todd, if you look at the surface text in the rev int, you see the same dots. That's probably where there coming from.
