Hello all. I'm thinking about making the switch from my Dell PC to an Apple MacBook Pro. I purchased Logos for my PC. My question is: can I download a Mac version when I make the switch without having to repurchase my library?
Thanks!
Bryan
You won't have to repurchase your library but I am not sure about the basic engine that makes it all work. Perhaps someone more knowledgeable in the forum would know that.
As I understand it you can just download the latest Alpha from the link in the first post in the forum.

Bryan,
No! Don't go toward the light!! Go away from the light!
Noooooo......[:'(]

Yes. Just remember that at the moment Logos 4 Mac is in Alpha, so it is not fully functional and occasionally freezes or crashes – just like Windows, so you'll feel at home.[;)]
Seriously, though I made the change in October. It's great to have a computer operating system that works without drawing attention to itself. [:D]
Oh, and as a great extra, it's a thing of beauty – just sooooooo cool. [H]

Ok..being serious for a moment...as a windows user I'll say that the word gorgeous is not saying too much about the Mac UI...it really is.
I wouldn't mind if the Win OS looked exactly like it.

The engine is free. You can run your purchase on both a PC and/or a Mac. Good luck!

Wait... I thought it did. I thought that's what they called Windows 7.
Perhaps you should take a poll amongst all the people you know and others, who has switched from PC to Mac and loved it, and those that switched from PC to Mac and regretted it and went back to PC. Or one that was a Mac user and switched to a PC.
My guess is that 12 years ago, perhaps some switched to PC's after using a Mac. But in the last 6 years or so, I don't think you'll find very many (if any) that switched to a PC after owning a Mac. I think the only exceptions would be those that HAVE to use a PC due to their job requirements.
Thanks everyone. I'm definitely a Mac fan. I have an older iBook and a newer Dell Inspiron that I purchased for graduate school. I would like to move to a new Mac but alas, they are so expensive. Before I could even consider it, I had to make sure that I could continue to use Logos though.
Pax.
Maybe in Bill G's world, but not in the real world....
You can easily have a computer that looks exactly like a Mac. [:D] Just move toward the light. [H]

Understand $$$ alas => Apple sells refurbished Mac's online that come with same 1 year warranty as new along with 14 day return option:
http://store.apple.com/us/browse/home/specialdeals/mac
Also Apple offers educational prices on new stuff (except iPad - for now).
From rumor story, appears MacBook refresh in pipeline. Currently, MicroCenter has $ 799 price for new MacBook ($ 200 off $ 999 retail).
Keep Smiling [:)]
If the mac alpha remained as is forever I would still take it over a P.C. and windows any day of the week. Just saying...
I don't have to be convinced in Mac's superiority over a PC.
