Near eastern studies and the OT's alleged creation during the exile in Babylon

Hello good people!

How would you guys go about searching your library for articles and texts dealing with the claim that the OT was written during the exile in Babylon? I suppose the search function is the (only) tool for a topic like that? What queries would you use?

Also, what reasources would you reccomend? Preferably those that are opposed to the view, or at least neutral.

Just to narrow down, when did you want the OT to be written? I recently finished the greek period. Almost no one for the persian.

Plus, which parts? A good chunk obviously is post-exile. And so on.

i highly recommend this book by K A Kitchen. Check out the reviews online.

Here's one way:

Go to Tools > Collections and create a collection of all your Old Testament resources.

Then search that collection with term strings like--

"Deuteronomistic History" (put in quotes and make sure each word is capitalized)

"Deuteronomistic History" NEAR exile

"Deuteronomistic History" NEAR Babylonian

"Deuteronomic History"

"Martin Noth"

Form criticism

Redaction criticism

In many apologetics resources, you will find chapters or passages on the historicity of the OT. You'll find your keywords for further research in there. For example the Code of Hammurabi, the Ebla Tablets etc.

Maybe the timeline tool could also be helpful to find extrabiblical sources for Biblical events.

Well, since the Bible testifies several places when much of the OT was written, I shall stick with that
