Trying to download a purchased pre-pub on my Mac...can't even get started after reading instructions

Can someone help me install a downloaded pre-pub on my Mac that I purchased.  The instructions are not helping.

    In L4Mac downloads should be automatic, but if the resources are not downloading, then type Update Resources in the command bar and then click on the Tools option in the dropdown. That should force a download. If it doesn't download, then close L4Mac, wait a minute or two, relaunch and it may well download automatically. BTW make sure that you have selected download to be automatic and Internet on in Tools|Program Settings.
