Logos 4.0c not responding

I have seen reports of Logos 4 hanging for periods of time and showing a "not responding" message.

I have been experiencing this as well and it happened again this morning on at least two occasions when I was:

trying to load a saved layout
right-clicking on an open tab

The log file for this session is attached.

Thanks for the log. I see a non-fatal error at 08:20:03.7111 & 08:20:13.0436 which the developers will be interested in!

This is starting to happen more frequently, when I open most resources.

The attached log is for starting Logos with a blank layout and then just opening the NKJV bible - a similar error seems to be occurring.

Do I need to do anything to draw this to the attention of the developers?

I can submit your log to development.

I wonder if you deselect your Reading Plan visual filter(s), does that make any difference?

I have deleted all of my visual filters (via intersecting circles) and the errors persist.

However, you refer to "Reading Plan visual filters" - are these something different?

No, those would be listed on the intersecting circle drop-down, too. Thank you for trying that.

Hi again

This is now occurring frequently but yesterday Logos completely hung - it seemed to be when I opened a particular resource - and I had to close the program using Task Manager.

The attached log is from when I opened Logos to a blank layout and then opened the layout which I was trying to open when the problem occurred yesterday.

The resource which seemed to cause the problem was WBC Vol 35A

I have the same issue. Ive noticed at times it happens it poens multiple search tabs across the bar on both sides, it opens resources on the one. I have cleared them with the little x to the right and on 2 and it happend again. I'm not opening these so I think it overloads and crashes to "not responding".. if i clear themit seems to run but then it happens eventually...

This problem has continued to annoy for a while. The "not responding" message is accompanied with a black screen and may "flash" at me 5 - 10 times before allowing any input from the mouse. It will not permit input until my highlighting actually appears on the screen with Bible and commentary.

I am thinking that the problem began after I imported highlighting, notes, and prayer list from Libronix 3. Therefore, I turned off all highlighting and notes to no avail.

The black screen (Logos4 not responding) occurs (1) when loading a saved layout, (2) after taking a link to a Bible text and copying it to WORD and while attempting to return to the prior text, (3) when finished with a Bible reading plan and attempting to load a saved layout.

Do I need to "uninstall" the import of highlighting, notes, and prayer list from Libronix 3?

Is Bellingham monitoring this?
