Logos keeps crashing

I had a Logos 6 problem develop where the program would shut down suddenly. So I upgraded to Logos 7 today. Had problems where it was telling me it could not create a temp file. Finally it seems to upgrade.

Now when I start it goes to the program and almost instantly shuts down. Here is the log file that I was asked to create. I hope you can help quickly. I need the program soon.\\

UPDATE: I just rebooted the computer and when I tried to start Logos the startup screen showed Logos 6 and then said I have to upgrade to 7 because I have incompatible files for 6???? This must be a clue.

The log shows this

I would try deleting that file - \Program Files\Logos\Data\ywm12egw.eop\ResourceManager\logos\Discovered.db' - and see if that helps.

Dave - You are the techie and I am not! I am confused by this suggestion, however. His logs show that he is running the current version (7.16). Is there something I am missing in your suggestion?

No that didn't do it.

Dave is very knowledgable, so it is a good idea to take his advice. If that doesn't work, please enable and post new logs. Sometimes there are several things at play and it takes a couple times to figure it out.

Please delete \Program Files\Logos\Data\ywm12egw.eop\ResourceManager\logos\Discovered.db

Then restart Logos. If it's still crashing, please post an updated set of log files.

He had tried Graham (then Bradley's) suggestion without success, so it was a (simple) step toward resolving a possible Registry issue re. the mention of Logos 6 in the updated OP.

I resolved my problem, but not sure it will help anyone else. I ended up uninstalling/installing Logos. Still wouldn't work and had multitudes of issues trying to do this. Then I decided to go to a disk image I made 2 months ago. That resolved it, but of course, now I have a lot of updating to do on my PC.

Finally figured out that my original problem was the SD Card that I had placed my Logos files on (PC is a surface pro and I had a 128 GB card inserted.) That had worked flawlessly for 2 years, but apparently, the card got corrupted. I can't even reformat it (even with Easeus Partition Manager). So now i have the Logos 7 and the files and it's all good.

Thanks, everyone for your help. Apparently, I did not give you enough info to help me, but I didn't know that the card had died.

But I just wanted to flag that running Logos on SD cards is not supported so if you can avoid that moving forward it would be good!

I don't know about Mac. The Windows Registry holds the installed version number. So if it says Logos 6 when L7 is installed it got corrupted somehow. But now we know it was the "disk drive" that was failing.

Mac Finder has "Get Info" for the Application Bundle

Finder version (from the Application Bundle) lacks leading zeros when compared with About Logos Bible Software: e.g. 7.17.0.2 vs 7.17.0.0002

Note: updating application on macOS means entire application bundle is replaced (unlike Windows whose setup can upgrade application pieces).
