For those interested, Wilkins writes from a perspective called "Free Grace Theology." (Often associated with Dispensational theology, though not identical.) It is often called "easy-believism" by critics. The biggest names associated with it are Zane Hodges and Charles Ryrie.

Thanks for drawing attention to the "Ten Most Misunderstood Words in the Bible" by Peter Wilkin - which I will buy. I was previously very impressed by the Logos Mobile Education. TH265 Free Grace Theology (2017) lectures by Peter Wilkin and found it a breath of fresh air to the traditional Reformed arguments. Later I bought other resources by that author and Zane C. Hodges available in Logos in particular -

At Faithlife Ebooks I also acquired: Chay, Fred, David R. Anderson, Joseph Dillow, Ken Wilson, and Paul Tanner. A Defense of Free Grace Theology: With Respect to Saving Faith, Perseverance, and Assurance. Houston, TX: Grace Theology Press, 2017.

These were excellent resources which when compared with John McArthur's texts (whom I do normally enjoy reading) allowed me to see a simpler and perhaps more biblical perspective. I re-read John MacArthur's The Gospel According to the Apostles to see how he opposed the free grace perspective. MacArthur made some good points and I agreed with some of what he wrote, but overall I found the free grace arguments worthy of serious consideration. Keep well Paul
