Anyone Using a Macbook?

My current Macbook Pro from 2013 is in its last days. I'm going to keep using it until I can't anymore, but I was thinking the next time I get Mac hardware, I'd get the base Macbook instead of the Pro. However, I can't be using any computer that's dog slow. I remember the early days of Logos for the Mac on my iBook. It was so slow it hurt my feelings.

Wondering if any of you are using a base Macbook. Anyone running it with only 8GB of RAM? What's your experience?

Andrew It is really going to depend on the size of your Library I have though about getting one also because on the road everyday with my 2015 MacBook Pro is sometimes hard, but I normally just put is in the backpack and go. 

I would upgrade the base model to this:

• 1.4GHz dual-core 7th-generation Intel Core i7 processor, Turbo Boost up to 3.6GHz
• 16GB 1866MHz LPDDR3 memory
• 512GB SSD storage
• Intel HD Graphics 615
• Backlit Keyboard - US English

But that makes the cost $1,949.00. My main concern with the MacBook is the screen size for Logos and only having one USB-C to connect anything.
