Works for me! (at least on the one panel it tried it on NLT bible)
You do have to click in the panel to give it focus.

Clicking on the window did the trick. Thought I had tried that before posting, but I'm still recovering from finishing my bachelor's. [<:o)] and may have imagined it. Still a little low on sleep
