I asked a question last Sunday to my congregation as to whether we would know each other in heaven. To my surprise, a few people said, "no we will not" and so, not having much time, I quickly walked them through a number of passages referring to the topic such as David stating he will go to be with his son in 2 Samuel, Moses and Elijah appearing on the Mount of Transfiguration (Matt 17) and the story of the rich man and Lazarus (Luke 16), etc. But it got me to thinking, how in the world would you do a search to find out every passage that references or infers knowing one another throughout eternity? It's kind of a nebulous topic because some passages such as 1 Thess 4:17 do not actually mention heaven or "knowing" but state something like "we who are alive will be caught up to meet THEM... {emphasis mine} which implies the "knowing" but doesn't quite state it.
Bit of a brain twister so I would love to hear how some of you would work this out. Thanks in advance as always.
