One of my goals for this summer is to learn to use LOGOS 4 more in
depth. In doing so, I have moved my prayer list to the prayer list
feature & named the file "2010 Prayer List". As the
tech support logs record, the Logos prayer list feature doesn't have enough memory to support this large list. This has been a problem. I have
done all the updates recommended by the techs.
After working with Tech support over the last week, we have finally concluded that my list is too big for the
program. The problem is that when I check off an item on the list, it takes
10-12 seconds to go to the next item. What a hassle! I am about to
travel for 2 wks. with limited internet access. That means the prayer
list items will roll over and when I return, there will be a huge list
that will take quite a long time to update. There is only one way to edit the list and that is by checking each entry off individually.
I have invested an enormous amount of time to establish this list and
now have no way to even divide it into several lists without totally
reentering all the information. That is quite disappointing.
Also, the prayer list does not offer category options. I devised my own
by using numbers 1-7 to organize my list (1 - Focus for the day; 2 -
Praise/Worship; 3 - Thanksgiving . . . etc.).
I am in an internet group of gals who are learning to use LOGOS more
extensively and effectively for prayer and study. These issues will be a
problem for them as well. Therefore, I am giving them a heads up on
the issues I am experiencing.
It would be quite helpful to have the option of accessing the prayer list from IPhone or ITouch or Droid.
If there is a fix for this issue in the near future, I will be so
grateful.
