Course note files

As a subscriber of Faithlife Essentials I receive temporary access to some courses.
Going through a course I underline passages and those highlighting is saved in a resource-specific note file.

If the course goes away (after the 6 months temporary access), will the resource-specific note file with the underlined passages also disappear?

No. The resource-specific note file is your document, and you can still access your notes after you lose access to the course. You just won’t be able to see a popup of any underlined passage linked from the course since the course is now locked.

If you need to see those underlined passages in the future, you’d have to save a copy of the passages before the course is locked. Options include exporting Highlight search results, using a clippings document, or including the passage as part of the note.

So, if in the course I underline the (for me) most important passages, it is (automatically) saved in a resource-specific note file and then the course disappears, I will still have the note file with the passages from the course that has disappeared? Is that correct?

That would be awesome, since that way you can keep a nice summary of the course, while the course itself will disappear.

Simply underlining is not enough. You need to open the note file and copy/type the reference into the note file otherwise you will loose the passage reference.
