Fonts on library.logos.com

First, a question: when I go to library.logos.com on my work laptop using the Chrome browser, I get a slick looking interface with green icons in the upper left. When I connect to the same address with IE8, I get a much more simple mobile interface with a white background. Why do the two browsers trigger different interfaces for the same URL?

Also, my eyesight isn't very good, so I need to use larger fonts or a zoom feature. 99% of the time, the typical browser zoom does the trick. But it doesn't work with the enhanced "desktop" interface that I get on Chrome doesn't. When I zoom, all of the icons and menus get bigger, but the text remains small (and very straining on my eyes). Is there any way to increase the font size or prevent the text from resizing smaller each time I zoom in?

Have you tried {CTRL} + (press the control key and the plus sign at the same time. This works in Firefox.

Try going to http://library.logos.com/?beta=true in IE8. Once you do that, it sets a cookie so that when you return to the site (even without the "?beta=true" part), it will show the more complex interface. To switch back to the simple mobile interface, use this URL: http://library.logos.com/?beta=false

Ctr + does not work in Chrome for library.logos.com. It does zoom the framework, menus, and icons, but the text just resizes back to the very small font. Must be a Chrome incompatibility though. When I used the beta=true URL, IE8 loaded the new interface and the text was bigger (even at the default zoom), and ctr + worked as expected. Thanks to both of you!
