Android: Search page takes FOREVER (65 sec) until I can type something in Find box

I'm using the latest version, 6.5.6.

I have a sneaky suspicion it's because of how many collections I have (218). It's probably taking that time to fill the dropdown list box. Still, it's unacceptably slow. The first few times I tried to use it, I thought the app had crashed. I've been putting up with waiting for all these months since I first started using the app, but I almost never use the search function because it's pointless. I wait until I get home to my desktop app instead or use Google.

65 seconds! Get it down to 10 and I might use it. Get it down to 3-5, and I might recommend it to a friend.

    Thanks for sharing this feedback. We are looking at search improvements later this fall for Android and iOS.

    I only have a handful of collections but still have found the search function so slow as to stop using it.  Hopefully that will change after Faithlife has a chance to address it later this fall per Daniel's post.
