I have 2,215 resources in L4, but only 1,287 resources in L3. Is there a reason for this? Is there something I can do to make sure my L3 has all the resources I have in L4? Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions.
Hi Stephen, the interlinears among other sources are hidden in L4 because of the way they are integrated in the new software. If you want to compare what you have in L4 to L3, the better way to do it is probably to have run your library file thru Mark Barnes's tool on his blog (http://www.4-14.org.uk/wp-login.php?action=login&view=forum).That itemizes out everything you have in your library.
Well, never mind. I re-read your post and it seems you have the reverse problem!
All of the books available in Logos 4 are available in Logos 3, I believe. There are some books not updated for Logos 4.
Thus, if you have your licenses sync'd, and all the resources downloaded, you should have more available in Logos 3. Since you don't, it is likely that you haven't manually downloaded resources for Logos 3 for which you have license. Logos 4 automatically downloads them.
Unfortunately I don't know of an easy way to download the books that you're missing. This is one of the major benefits of Logos 4, in my opinion.
The fewest steps (but highest bandwidth and disk space) would be to download them all from the FTP and put them in your resources folder.
Alternatively, you can make a list of resources you're missing and then download them individually. Since you have Logos 4 (assuming you've upgraded) then all of the new resources that came with your package upgrade (or crossgrade) are not in Logos 3 unless you've manually downloaded them. That is a place to start.

Peace to you! *smile* There IS an easy way. Worked for me .... I don't have time to look it up now as leaving my study ...
However, in December, on a Logos Blog, there was a script for putting your licensed books into L3 ... Using the L3 downloading process ..
I have portfolio, and I clicked that part of the script; and now I have my resources on L3 and L4
...........Mel
P.S. If you need me to look up the script later on, I will do so. Will return to this thread to see if the need is there!
Thanks, Milford. The need is there. Thanks!
Peace to you, Steven! *smile*
This is from a Logos Blog - December 4, 2009 by Phil Gons - You can look it up in the Logos Blog archives if this copy of that text doesn't link properly.
Also, if you are able to download to L3 the resources you are missing, be sure to use account management to synchronise your resourses with the Logos Computer, and later on if you have to reinstall Logos 3 for any reason you will have your license handy to load your backed-up files that I hope you will have...
Thanks, Milford. I didn't get them all, but considerably more. I don't use L3 that much. Just not ready to delete it yet. Thanks to all for your suggestions.
You're welcome, Steven. I don't use L3 that much anymore either. Like having it there. Now and again I look at some of my many PBB's. Also, since I have a lot of free space on my hard drive, now and again I will do a study on L3 that is different from what I am studying in L4. A totally independent and different study so I don't have to put my L4 stuff in a layout.
