Zondervan Exegetical Commentaries

Anyone got any idea why the 1 Corinthians and Romans volumes are so slow in coming to Logos. I have an email from Faithlife 6 months ago saying they were chasing up the paperwork for the 1 Corinthians volume. It seems odd that an existing series in Logos is so slow in coming to Faithlife.

I know Romans had some delays due to footnote alignment issues with the printed book. Not sure if that has any bearing to the electronic book. I'd imagine not. But, it could be part of the issue.

Hi John,
Having seen a review on amazon.com which mentioned the footnote problem, I contacted a local Christian bookshop last week. They contacted their distributor, or possibly the publisher, who confirmed that the footnote problem is limited to the eBook version, and that the print version does not have that problem. They expect to receive copies of it this week. I've ordered a print copy from them on that basis.

The footnote problem is connect to the print version. I order the print version and it has major footnote issues. I contacted Zondervan and they plan a recall of the print version. They hope to send corrected copies out in November.

Thanks for confirming that Brooks.
The information I was provided is incorrect, then. That's a shame.
Do you know if the eBook (Kindle) version is affected? If not, I wonder if it has print page numbers, or just the default Kindle progress indication, or if it is a facsimile version of print pages (as I saw on another publication recently, to my surprise and delight).

Yeah, John, I do reviews for Zondervan and my copy was delayed for the above mentioned issue. It's a print issue.

Thanks John.
Now, if Logos were able to get it in advance too and release it around the same time as the print version, like the BECNT 2nd edition of Romans, I'd much prefer it in Logos. But it isn't on pre-pub from what I can see, so I have to settle for print or Kindle.

The 1 Corinthians volume has been out for 6 months - without any issues I believe. But still not on Logos.

Yes I'm one who no longer double buys book- if I end up having to get paper copy I will not be buying in Logos- hopefully they'll put in Pre-pub within the next 30 days- if sorry book will be done deal.
