L4 A20 Crash each click/hoover of mouse

I've not been able to utilize any of the resources in A20.

Each time I click a resource it will crash.

Times when the mouse hovers over any item even with out a click of mouse, it will crash.

I've read the forums and I see others who have similiar problems.

Seems I read that Macbook may have something that conflicts with L4 A20 mac ??

Really can't get anything to work; if I can get 'passage guide' open and click it crashes.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Looks like you've got some bad data in a VisualFilter document. Can you upload the VisualFilter.db found in:

/Users/<your username>/Library/Application Support/Logos4/Documents/<some random string>/Documents/VisualFilter

Did you create this Visual Filter Document on Windows? There appears to be an error in the contents of the file itself, which seems odd to me. I'll look into it further, though.

I don't understand the 'windows' question...I'm using a Mac.

I do use 'Crossover" so I can use 'XP' to run Word,excell,& One note.

Could any of this be interfering?

Hi Robert

Some people run Logos on Macs and Windows - perhaps Mac's at home (because they are people with class) and Windows at work (because their employers are skinflints with no judgement). When they do this they may create Filters, Layouts etc on the Windows machine which get synced back to their mac.

The question was really about which OS the visual filter was created on. (Do you use Crossover to run Logos?)

No, I don't use Crossover to run Logos. I use Mac.

I use crossover (Wine) only on mac to use XP, Word, Excell, & One Note.

Now, I do run a windows desk top with XP and run L4 for windows on it.

My macbook pro is only few months old and so I simply bought L4 'Crossgrade engine since I didn't want any more resources at time.

But since L4 A19, I haven't been able to run L4 at all on macbook.

Logos 4 syncs data between all machines that you log into. When Cameron asked if you had created something on Windows, he was referring to that computer.

I went to my windows machine and loaded L4 for windows.

I deleted all layouts that I had created...made sure program settings were same as Mac.

Went back to Mac laptop and loaded A20 and it worked...I quickly created a layout which worked.

It looked like everything was going to work...then, the PINWHEEL...wouldn't stop.

Had to force quick.

I'm so disappointed.

I learned much this past week from the posts several of you put up concerning my problem.

First, I'm no software wizard but, I figured out what your post above meant.

To make long story short, I loaded L4 on windows machine and removed all layouts and any other thing I could so that the visual filter

would be blank (I guess ?).

Went back to L4 A20 on mac and created a layout to my needs.

Then went back to windows machine and sync...great!...Mac L4 A20 is working great so far.

No spinning beach ball.
