If it is anything like Logos 7 they usually go on a six-week dev cycle.

IIRC, the plan is to ship 8.1 beta 1 next Monday, so yes, I'd expect the "normal" cycle to continue. There's of course the very real possibility of a Service Release to be shipped to the stable channel prior to 8.1 if there are enough (serious) bug fixes.

I will confirm what David/Reuben have said. The desktop application operates on a 6-week cycle, shipping beta releases each week during that cycle. SRs are released to address critical issues (e.g. common crashes).
The web app and mobile apps tend to ship more often and with less consistently. For instance, the web app sometimes can "ship" multiple times in a single day if necessary.
