Problem with Reading Plan on Home Page

In Logos 7, clicking on today's readings from the home page took me to the resource in my current open layout, or if the resource wasn't already open it opened it in the current layout.

Now in Logos 8, clicking on today's reading opens a whole new layout.

How can I get to today's readings without opening a new layout? I have 7 different daily reading plans for my Bible, all using the same daily layout. The layout also incorporates my mobile ed course, and several dozen other resources.

You can't. Perhaps FL thought it would be helpful to unfamiliar users to have a layout prepared for them, but in your case, as I'm sure with others, it is annoying.

Let's see if FL has a response.

Meanwhile I did find my own work-around. From the DOCS menu I opened up all my reading plans, then put them in one floating window so they will be available but out of the way. When I click on the link in the reading plan itself, it opens the resource in the right place without changing my layout.
