Maybe things will go better this time

After a recent reload of my OS I delayed reloading Logos 4 Mac. I rarely use it these days, except to play with the latest Alpha and then I have to wait for reindex, etc, so I thought about waiting for a few Alpha's to go by before reinstalling. But I broke down. And perhaps things will go better this go-around. Note the download size, and even the % downloaded!

It is a pity that you had not backed up the information prior to dumping the old OS then Scan 'path' might have saved you some time.

Just out of curiosity what prompted you to reinstall the OS. It is something I have yet to do and when I hear of others doing it they never seem happy with the result.

I'm fairly obsessive about having a clean system, and the best way to keep things from scattering all over the place (other than not downloading them to begin with) is to reload. Plus, I'm a seed tester for Apple so I sometimes have beta versions of Snow Leopard and this time I wanted to drop back to the stable version. As for the results, it always results in a squeaky clean system, so I'm happy with the results.

As for backing up Logos, I usually do back up the Library/Application Support/Logos 4 folder, then I just have to drop it back and Logos is good to go, even without a running Scan, but since I thought I was going to wait a few Alpha's before reinstalling, I decided to do a completely clean install of Logos. But I couldn't hold out that long.

I understand. The sun is shining nicely here in Scotland so in your shoes I would take a long walk in the countryside while the download goes on.

(I take it they are comfy shoes?)
