A20 Bug - Empty space not filled when last book moved

So I have 4 panels like so, but I'd really like to combine the 2 big ones into 1. So I drag and drop them until I have only one left (BDAG), like so:

But when I drag BDAG over, it causes 2 problems: 1) Empty space not filled (and I don't know how to fill it). 2) All my books in the center panel go blank. All of 'em. Now what?

Well, I put BDAG back and then found the various layout options in the Layouts menu. That solved one problem (put everything together), but left another (empty books).

As a matter of fact, as I dork with A20, dragging and dropping books into various panel configurations, about half of the time I get blank books and about half I don't. I'm guessing there's simply a refresh method that isn't getting called in every code path.

I would like to chime in on this one. I am getting a lot of theses blank panels showing up. I think it is happening after I have been running the program for some time. After I restart the program everything seems to be fine.

I know, not much to go on, but I thought I would make it known.

By the way, I am using B7.

It's an issue that we're very interested in solving, but none of us has (yet) discovered a set of steps that always results in the problem, which makes this bug very difficult to track down. If you find such a set of steps, let us know.

Just when we thought we fixed this. Looks like a few more days of tracking this down. I had a good set of steps to reproduce this simply, but apparently, we didn't catch all the cases.

I just managed to get the gray panel after opening a few panels, so I'm going to try and re-re-produce this and we'll start working again tomorrow.
