Logos 8 crashes on startup

I suspect that the topic guide card can't load on the home screen because the dictionary reference is NULL.

Your diagnosis seems correct. Fred's idea is one to try. Not sure what would come after that if successful, however, because the card will still be on the Home Page.

Thanks Mark! Thanks Fred! Your ideas got me in the right direction.
This is how I solved the issue:
I opened logos to a specific (random) reference with command line arguments, skipping the home screen: https://wiki.logos.com/Command_line_arguments (as a short cut, the link to Ro6:4 works just fine too).
I could navigate everywhere except the home screen. After some try-and-error I set the language to English, and re-started. The home page was loading. I set it back to German. The home page crashed. I set it back to English, and changed the bible dictionary in the layout from "131 Christians Everyone Should Know" to LBD. Changed language back to German, and re-started. Home screen is working fine again.
What a nasty bug…🕷️🕷️🕷️

I think we already have a case for this crash (which only happens in localised UIs) and will have a fix in 8.0 SR-1.
