New Awesome Sales Rep

I’ve found a new sales rep! Here’s his name: Chas VanDeBrake
He helped sort out my mess when I jumped the gun on my first discount/purchase and made the transaction very smooth. As a result I ended up with Standard Portfolio and my top Spanish BP Salomon along with full features. Better than just Platinum Bilingual + Salomon!
If you need help, calls sales and ask for Chas 👍😁👌

DAL and I have some history on this forum so it's not what the initials "DAL" stand for but what the man "DAL" stands for that makes me smile.

I worked with Chas at his previous job, and I can testify that he is a class act! Great service and always willing to go the extra mile.

Do you think that controls have been put into place by the company so reps are not able to give out discounts that other reps cant? That seems to be my observation. However, the individual rep will differ from others by their personality, their ability to problem solve and offer targeted solutions, and their over all customer service skills.
Agree?

not exactly sure what you mean by this, but in essence I think all of them have exactly the same framework within which to work. But I know nothing about how their sales structure/commission is set up. I imagine some (depending on many reasons, such as their own personal need and client base) may be more willing/able to give discounts and still make a living. But that is just speculation on my part.

My use of specific sales reps goes back to ca. 2005/6. I had several good ones, each left for various career and family needs. Each I was sad to see go. They did not always give me what I wanted (which is basically everything at 90% off [:P]) but would "give" a little here and there and be helpful and timely in their service. Also got to know them a bit more personally. Then, probably ca. 5 years ago, I had not-so-good experiences, even with reps who others touted as their favorite. Perhaps some were snowed under with so many personal requests for help, others had more of a "can't do" (vs. "can do") attitude, some seemed incapable of acknowledging when an error was on their end, etc. I'm not saying they were bad people, I'm just saying my customer service expectations were not met. over and over. And that was after nearly a decade of positive experiences.
I just quit using them. (Logos seemed to shift and shy away from the perception that they were offering personal reps, even though many on the forums often still operated as though they had their guy/gal in sales.) I did feel some kind of loss when I no longer had "my" go-to rep. Anyway, based on your recommendation, I'll likely reach out. Unfortunately my buying power is greatly curtailed now so it's likely not as worth it to deal with me. [:)]

Thanks for the confirmation. Nice to have colleagues like that, for sure. Sad to see them go, too.
