’Twas a bit weird getting an email from faithlife telling me about a freebie that I’m ineligible for (also in the UK), but there you go.

Agreed. Same here (UK). They really ought to filter these out before we get our hopes up.

At least you got an email, I don’t even get the email despite having them turned on in my options and everytime someone at FL says they look into it, they never come back to me with a fix.

No didn't get an email - haven't gotten any of those sort of emails since Logos Now became Logos Connect - have unsubbed and re-subscribed - no joy. Have reported a few times, normally just told to check my subscriptions I do get emails from the Faithlife groups, from Community Products about to get processed, Logos Blog, etc so not a spam check related problems, and besides all the related domains are in my whitelists...

I've never used a virtual private network and don't know how to do so. However, I'm not sure that your suggestion would be effective because my understanding is that purchasers' location is determined by the credit card's registered country of origin. In other words, even if I came to the United States on holiday and tried to purchase a Logos product that is for the North American market only, my Scottish credit card would still not be accepted. It's ironic because I could walk into a U.S. bookstore and buy a paper version of the book. But I completely understand that publishers need to protect their assets and that Logos is required to abide by the law.
Thanks for your suggestion [Y]

Having tested it out, I can confirm that using a VPN doesn’t work, which... well, it might be for the best. If it did work I’d have felt guilty - like I’d tricked ‘em or something.

Internet security experts strongly recommend that all users of the internet use a VPN due to the increased security it affords. Pretty much every business sucks out your personal information marrow to greater or lesser extents. They would say they "need" to. I do not concur.
