BUG: Home Page doesn't refresh on new day
I had Verbum 8 running/open on my laptop since Monday (I keep laptop on usually). I noticed that if the software is kept open, as days advance, the home page does not refresh - still had the same ads/Bible quote as Monday. Also, the Lectionary Card didn't advance either.
Shouldn't the software know when the day has changed and refresh itself?

This has been mentioned before. I believe you can hit F5 to cause the homepage to refresh.

It never has. You need to request a refresh i.e. F5. Wouldn't it be rather annoying if you were on the home page at 11:59:59 to have it change just as you are ready to click? And do you really want to spend cycles on watching the clock while you're off on other actions? I could see an automatic refresh if you return to the page from another page but even then if you were planning of picking up on a blog entry its loss might be annoying...

This is not true. With Logos 7, I kept it open overnight, and the next morning as soon as I clicked on it, after waking up my laptop, it refreshed on its own. Sometimes it seemed to be refreshed already, maybe if a resource or update came down or something, This is the Mac version, maybe it works differently than the Windows version on Logos 7.

I agree with the belief that this feature was part of Logos/Verbum 7. I may be wrong, but I thought it did that.
Thanks for the F5 tip I will give that a try too.

It did not. I NEVER hit F5. That much I know. And I read thru and looked at the articles on the Home Page regularly. Maybe this was a Mac/Verbum enhancement or something,
