Suggestion: Reading plan tied to layout

I haven't seen this suggested. And if it's possible, I haven't figured out how.

When I touch a reading plan card from the home screen, I'd like it to take me to a specific layout and then to the appropriate location in the resource being read. I have a layout I called "Reading Plan", and I'd like to always do my reading plan (at least this one) from that layout.

Thanks,

Donnie

    Hi Donnie,

I don't know if this will help you but I experienced the same problem that you mention.  Fortunately while in Logos 7 before my update to Logos 8 I had a saved reading plan layout as an icon on my shortcut bar which had the layout I prefer for reading plans with several resources (19) open in three frames.  What I discovered with Logos 8 is that I can change the reading plan layout on the home page dashboard card by opening my original layout and then going to the layout icon in upper right, from this window on the left hand side scroll down to "Home Page Layouts" then hit the "Bible Reading Plan Custom" drop down arrow and then select "replace with current layout".  This worked great for me.  Now my reading plan card on the homepage dashboard is laid out as it was originally in Logos 7.  I hope I understood you correctly and this is helpful for you.  By the way I don't think you have to have a saved shortcut from a previous layout to do this.  Just open your dashboard reading plan, configure it the way you want it and then go through the process as mentioned.

    Hi Gary

Great description of how to do this on the desktop, but I think Donnie is looking for something that will work in the mobile apps.
