John Fallahee's "Learn Logos 8" training

I received an email from John on 10/29 regarding his "Learn Logos" training for Logos 8.  On his web page, I noticed the following statement.

NOTE: Previous Logos 4, Logos 5, Logos 6, and Logos 7 training videos are compatible with Logos 8.

That leaves me wondering how many of the videos would be new -- actually using Logos 8.  Has anyone looked into his latest training package enough to provide any info about that?

    Well I can't speak as a buyer (yet) but according to the web page there are 50 videos and they are all Logos 8 which I assume means they are all new videos

    I bought it on Monday.  He is frantically making the Logos 8 as we type.  16 of 50 are done since Monday.

    Thanks, guys!  I just noticed the following info on John's web site that I had missed before.

    8+ hours of training

    Dear Customer,

    Many of you have requested training that only includes the new features. Your wish is my command!
    This year we have an even more affordable training option that provides training for the new features only.

     

    So on the one hand, it sounds (to me) like there are only 8+ hours of video covering only "new" features.  But on the other hand, in his list of videos he also includes features that were in Logos long before version 8.  E.g. he includes the following videos on Guides in his list, so I'm not really sure what to expect.

    19. Passage Guide
    20. Exegetical Guide
    21. Get More Guides
    22. Make a New Guide

    I'll see if I can get any info from him this weekend.

    I checked with John and the current training material being offered only covers features "new" to Logos 8.  L8 videos covering things that are unchanged from Logos7 will be coming later, but would require a separate purchase.

    I decided that if I'm going to purchase a training video package, I want one that will cover "all" the features of Logos, not just the features new to Logos 8.  So I'm going to wait to purchase until John makes available a Learn Logos 8 package that covers all the Logos features.

    I have gone with the update although I would love the full set because I would like the updates within a few days and not in the future.

    The Logos 7 set took a long time to be fully delivered/completed.  "A bird in the hand ...."  almost applies!!
