After the big expense to upgrade to L8, we got 11 new notes features and lost 23. Somehow that seems wrong. This corresponding notes & highlights was a big deal.

Any indications about when some progress will be made on the to-do list?

Neither Graham nor I work for FL. Typically FL does not reveal their plans... if there are any delays/setbacks, it becomes a "broken promise." If you really want to know, the best thing to do is to follow the beta testing forum.
As said, FL doesn't tell us.
But one thing you know without being told: You will wait.
I've been using Logos for over 10 years and not one single second of that time have I not been waiting for some promised feature or a fix of a feature that isn't working. Updates simply renew the cycle.
Good thing this isn't a railroad.

A couple of the items on the list have already shipped in 8.1/8.2. Several more are in beta for 8.3.
I have asked that someone update the notes FAQ to indicate when items ship so users can see the progress we are making. Hopefully, that can be updated soon.
