Is it possible to select a chapter ONLY (no verses) and add notes to it alone? I have tried selecting the chapter number and it always ties the note to verse 1 of that chapter.
THanks.

I have found that this is possible with Psalms, but it is not possible with the other books. There may be some sort of work around someone else knows of; and if there is I'm sure they can enlighten us.
could it be as simple as just having it be tied to "all the verses" in a chapter?
Would that be what you're looking for?
EDITED TO ADD: I tried it and it works fine. Just select the whole chapter and make a note.
In NASB95, I can select Chapter headings and create notes that refer to chapters alone. The "Bible Text Only" display box must be NOT checked in order to do so...

That would work if he does not mind highlighting the entire chapter.
The other option is instead of selecting "reference" you can highlight just the chapter number; right click and choose "selection"; then add the note. This will insert a note for that selection, but I do not think that note will be carried over to other bible versions or resources that are tagged for that passage.
I tried that as well and it works with the NASB95. I wonder why there is a difference between versions? The other thing I noticed is that if you add a note (as a reference) to the chapter heading in the NASB95 it does not carry over to other versions.[*-)]

I guess the differences have to do with the Chapter Headings (if they are there) of the various Bibles - I confirmed that the note in my example above does NOT appear in the ESV & NIV, but it DOES appear in the KJV and LHI
Highlighting as in "turning it a different color like highlighters pallet?
This would be my preferred solution as it ensures that the search works correctly. Mind you, I don't know how the search works with the other option.
I don't know where it comes from, but I think I have a dropdown button that allows me to choose where notes are applied.
I choose to apply notes to my hightlighted words, but I could choose any of the other options if I wanted.
I still am new enough to LOGOS that I may have something wrong here, but it seems to hold true.
Floyd,
I think what you've shown is the "up down" arrow control...push the arrow, go to next what? Verse? Chapter? Highlight?
Like that.
You are right - but I had a similar problem earlier and this seemed to fix it. When I sit it to highlight, I got what I wanted. I probably just finally started using highlighting correctly.
Count it up to "foot in mouth" disease again. I would remove my post, if I could, but it is too late.
