Canvas

I love the new Canvas tool, but it's missing a few features.

1. It seems to be primarily geared towards canvasing or visually analyzing Bible text. There is an "Insert Passage" function, but no similar function for any other book. It would be nice to see this expanded to any monograph/journal/etc.

There is a work-around: open text box on Canvas and paste in your text, but then you have to mess around in the Text panel to get it to format similar to the way the Bible text is formatted from the Insert Passage function.

2. Along these lines, it would be nice to be able to simply drag and drop text into the Canvas. Currently, I this isn't even possible with Bible text, which is a bit surprising. It would make the sort of workflow pictured below a lot more convenient.

3. While points one and two are issues of convenience, I consider the following a more important feature: allow us to "tie" or attach a canvas to a piece of text, the same way that a note file or a highlight is tied/attached to a text.

4. Finally, a more ambitious request: allow the canvas to accept pen input from devices like iPad or Surface.

EDIT:

5. A further point I just noticed. The arrows run into or but up against the text in some cases. For aesthetics and ease-of-reading there should be a gap. (cf. the portion circled in red below)
