Why were all of the visual filters defaulted to "ON"?
I have over 16K resources in my L8 Library and EVERYONE of them has visual filters checked. I know that I can disable that simply by unchecking, however, since every single box is checked (more than 100 per resource), it causes way to much clutter in my Bibles, commentaries, etc., to be useful. I want to have a visual filter activated only when I want it, not defaulted to ON. As it is currently, I have to uncheck EVERY box in EVERY resource to be able to see/use the visual filter that I WANT to see/use.
I have spent too much time unchecking individual filters (and have barely scratched the surface in my library). If there is a way to totally disable the default of "ON" I would be very appreciative.

Hi Bill,
You can deactivate all the Visual Filters in one fell swoop by clicking on the drop-down arrow on the far right of the menu and choosing "Do not show in any resources." Note that the arrow does not appear until you hover over the line item.

Thank you Levi. I will be doing that immediately, if not before

Actually, upon looking into this a little further, wouldn't that disable the filters from ever being visible (as needed)? I don't want to totally disable them, I just don't want them defaulted to on.

No, what Levi was suggesting would simply turn them all OFF by default. You can click each one individually to turn them back on manually, by checking the box beside the respective visual filter name.

You can turn them on for the desired resources by using the checkboxes on the left.

Thanks Myke and Levi. The reason for the secondary question was because after I clicked on the arrow to disable that filter, it disappeared from the visual filter list instead of just becoming unchecked.

It ought not to have done that!
What visual filter disappeared? Did others do the same?
Does restarting Logos make it return?

All is well. A reboot restored the list of all of my visual filters. AND EVERY POSSIBLE visual filter and any other kind of the defaulted has been turned and...Thank you!

I have been suffering this as well...Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."
