Upon update and restart, the dashboard section of the homepage flashed with blank tiles for what I would estimate is over thirty seconds, much like when I first installed Logos 8.

It just keeps saying "No updates were found" - I've never had any kind of delay before when updates have been posted.

Never mind - kicked in less than 10 minutes later. Apologies.

We're investigating slow load times in the Dashboard section. Certain users in certain scenarios have been reporting similar experiences.
Curious: what continent are you on?

Damian and I are in Australia (same state), but my Dashboard of 5 cards takes a few seconds in 8.0.

I'm also in Australia (South Australia) and the first load of the home page (I switch to it as I don't open to it) takes 8-15 seconds but after initial load switching back and forth is quite quick. After a program restart, the home page is again slow to load - also typically the dashboard will show about 3-4 seconds before the explore section.

It takes a while for me to, but I just noticed that today. I'm on the east coast in the USA.

Dave thankfully already responded.
The slow load was only after the update. On my very first install last week, I thought something was broken because it took so long to load anything on the dashboard.
When I restart, everything is good. Almost instantaneous.

Not getting anything with Update now.

For anyone that has previously used "Set update channel to Beta", if you use "Set update channel to Default", the update should initialize.

The dashboard loaded in maybe 5 seconds. May depend on the Internet connection speed?
I like the old home page with the pictures from my books, showing landscapes and illustrations from the Biblical places. I made now an new layout to see them, and to skip the dashboard as quickly as possible.

Are you sure? "Update Now" and Close/Restart of Verbum does not find it. Are you sure Mac version of Verbum was released?

I see that some are having issues with L8 not updating to L8-SR1. I initially had this problem. I checked my update channel and found that the beta channel setting carried over from L7. Once I set the "Update channel to Default", the software updated as expected.

That's what it was, thank you Erwin!

In California, have not been able to pull don the update yet. Been trying since last night. Just comes back as "No Update Available". Is it just a busy server(s)? I am sure lots of folks are working to pull t all over.
Thanks and blessing.

Thanks, that was a "V8 moment"! L8 wasn't updating, but now life is good. Thanks Faithlife for this wonderful tool!

Tried to change channel to Default but it is remaining on Default.
I am guessing this is being looked at?

Hi Ken; Are you using "update channel to default" or "set update channel to default"?
The "set ..........." must be used.
