Logos 8 interface very unattractive; no contrast and no way to customize

Very disappointing. Ugly. No contrast; interface is just unattractive; change is good if it’s better; this is not. I can change the text area—gray, light gray, etc.—but I don’t want to change my nice, clear, easy-to-read text area; I want to change the top. This is livable, but the only reason that I upgraded from Logos 7 was to support the development. I have found nothing yet besides that that makes me happy that I did.
