Purchase of Logos 8 base packages.

Can I buy two Logos 8 base packages and get 25% off both?
Starting with Standard and then updating to a Reformed package would I still get 25% off the Reformed package, or does the 25% off only apply to the first download?
Is there a way to combine the two to get a deeper discount, because there are resources that interest me and others that don't interest me in both packages.

Yes - but not through the website. You can do this by contacting Logos sales - contact details at https://www.logos.com/contact - and they will sort it for you

I’m a little nervous that if I talk to some sales person I might get talked into something I don’t want at a great price. After all, a bargain is not a bargain unless you need it.
However, if I want Logos 8 the way I want it at a discount it seems to be the way to go. May be better than I imagine. The wallet is pretty flat, so can’t take feathers off a frog. [:D]

Are you sure Graham? I bought three base packages through the website. After reading this thread, I contacted Customer Service this morning and asked them to review my purchases to make sure I had all the discounts and they came back with a price $20 higher than what I paid online.

I had the same experience. But I told him that I expected things to be different, and he re-ran numbers and came back with something more in line with what I would've expected in the first place. (He somehow forgot to include my main base package to get dynamic pricing on the others.) Perhaps they've had to hire lots of folks to handle a Logos 8 buyer glut, but it seems that training these people hasn't been completely thorough. Honestly, now, I'm not sure how much I trust the numbers I now have. Hmm.

My experience has been that if you're buying a collection of sub collections from the same publisher, you might get a better price by buying some of the sub collections first. The DP is really strange sometimes. A sales rep can run the numbers for you like Mike Brown does for me.
L8 BP are different because of the huge discount and the specific rules. The cart is supposed to be DP, but doesn't always work right. I would put 2 or 3 BP in my cart to see what I get. I would then call sales to see what they get. Change your cart if they suggest something you missed, feature set, etc. Do the same thing with any collections you want to add and keep working the numbers and double check them. Unless you're doing a Purchase Plan, you can add collections and singles later. Even if you are doing a PP, you can add them later, but it's more work.
If you make a huge mistake, you can always have sales cancel your purchases and start over. You have a 30 day window.

When I put two Base Packages in the cart, Standard and Reformed, one discounts and the other doesn’t. It seems to be the Standard that discounts and not the Reformed no matter which is loaded first. Does anyone know reason for that?

Joe, you would need to go through Sales to a) get the first-time L8 discount to apply to both packages, and b) get your dynamic pricing adjusted due to any new items which are included in both package.

Where does the 25% number come from? I bought two Logos 8 packages off the website but the discounts were kind of random because of dynamic pricing and being a connect member. Should I be worried and call Sales? Is there a problem with buying via the website?

Yes. You did not get your full discount. You will only get the 30% discount (25% for your first upgrade package plus 5% extra for being a Connect member) on your first purchase. Subsequent purchases I believe are discounted only 10%, which is what would have been deducted from your second package online. To get two packages and get 30% off both you have to go through sales. The web site is not configured to do this.
Hopefully if you call customer service they may be able to work backwards and get you the discount on both packages.

Suggest calling/chatting with Sales. Website only allows first time Logos 8 upgrade discount on one base package.

I made the mistake of purchasing 3 base packages separately. FL has been trying to sort this out for nearly 2 weeks but I am still waiting to hear back. I was told that there are some issues with dynamic pricing.

Call sales and tell them you want to return everything and get all your money back, then start over.
