BUG?: Interlinear Text Comparison

I love the new Interlinear view of text compare! For some reason the NET and the CSB doesn't show up. Can that be fixed? I know the NET isn't tagged with the Strong's numbers, but the CSB seems to be linked and I have the interlinear for it.

Also, is there a reason why I can't right click on a word in that tool and do a Bible Word Study. That would be nice.

    Hi Casey

Just to confirm that I can't see the CSB interlinear in the Text Comparison tool either. That seems like a bug to me.

As for the right click, it seems as though the tagging information isn't available in the Text Comparison tool. Clicking on the hyperlinked Bible version name (e.g. ESV) will take you to the verse in that resource and you can run a BWS from there. I agree it would be nice to do all that from within the Comparison tool though!

NET won't work in Interlinear mode because translations need a reverse interlinear. But I find that the HCSB will work, whilst NABRE doesn't work!

This comparison is performed on Faithlife servers, so that may have a bearing on the results.

Integrating new Bibles into Text Comparison requires a separate curation task where one of our staff goes through the text to correct misalignments. While we've automated as much of that as we can, it still requires some amount of manual work: it's not automatic.

We've done that curation on the CSB NT but it hasn't shipped yet. I hope we'll see that go out soon.

We don't yet have a reverse interlinear for NET, so there are some other issues to resolve before we integrate it into Text Comparison.

Ah. That sounds like a painful process. Thanks very much for the feedback. I just found this tool and it makes my research so much faster! I think it is worthy of a spot on the feature list of Logos 8. I wouldn't have known about it had it not been for a Youtuber.

Also, I didn't even realize that it doesn't work for the OT. Any timeline on when we can expect that?

We've completed the curation of the primary English versions for the OT, but we're still working on the Hebrew alignment. I expect it will be a couple more months before it's ready to ship.
