Strange Behaviour- L8

I have L8 open on my desk top- home page, at the same time- I run dual monitors- I have MS Edge open to any site- if I shut edge down the home page on L8 disappears and I have to click home icon to open it back up. I have done this 10 times just to make sure- it only happens with L8 open no other program is affected like this.
